THE 'other' BEATLES
at the Bacon Theatre

THE OTHER BEATLES picture

On Saturday 3rd June 2000 I went to The Bacon Theatre, Cheltenham to see another Beatles tribute band who go under the name of THE 'other' BEATLES.

The concert was split up into 4 costume changes:-

Costume 1 was the grey and white polo neck outfits as worn between 1963 and 1964 and featured songs like 'Please Please Me', 'Love Me Do', 'She Loves You', 'From Me To You', 'I Want To Hold Your Hand', and 'This Boy'.

Costume 2 was the black suits as worn between 1965 and 1966. This part of the show featured 'Yesterday', 'Ticket To Ride', 'A Hard Days Night', 'I Feel Fine', 'You Can't Do That', 'Help' and 'You've Got To Hide Your Love Away'.

Costume 3 was the 'Sgt. Pepper' outfit as worn on the album cover. This part of the show was musically a little disappointing as they did not perform any tracks from the 'Pepper' album, however they did perform 'All You Need Is Love', 'Strawberry Fields Forever', 'Lady Madonna', 'I Am The Walrus', and 'Fool On The Hill'.

Costume 4 was the 'Let It Be' outfit. Musically this section started with 'Give Peace A Chance' and continued with songs like 'Let It Be', 'Come Together', and 'Get Back' also being performed before we all joined in for 'Hey Jude', at one point in this song I'm sure the band looked up at me because they realised I was making the most noise. This was my favourite section of the show.
